Friends Book Shop — Shop Local at the Library
Friends of the Library Book Shop Hours
- Tuesdays 10am-2pm
- Thursdays 2pm-4pm
- Saturdays 10am-2pm
- Summer Saturdays 10am-12pm (July 1-September 15)
The shop, located on the lower level of the Library, is staffed entirely by volunteers and offers thousands of gently used books at great prices.
NEW in the Shop! Shop Local at the Library, a variety of gift-worthy handcrafted items, created by local Milton Artisans.
All Shop proceeds provide direct funding for Library programs, museum passes, and more.
Book Shop Donations:
We accept donations during shop hours and only those in good to excellent condition. If the Shop is closed, you may drop a small number of donations in the slot outside the Library entrance. Please DO NOT leave boxes of books at the entrance!
We take the following donations (1 box or 1 bag at at time):
- Hardcover and paperback fiction and nonfiction
- All adult, children’s, and young adult books
- If you have large supplies of donations, please call the Library at 617-698-5757, in advance.
We DO NOT accept:
- Magazines of any kind
- Encyclopedias
- Reference books
- CDs, DVDs
Remember – if you wouldn’t purchase it, PLEASE do not donate it!
